			TRIDENT Filter Tank


		TRIDENT FILTER This is the secondary treatment tank and is an up-flow system. Here anaerobic bacteria which is housed in the media will digest the organic matter and convert the waste water into water, bio-gas and energy.

The system consists of two zones which are SLUDGE ZONE and FILTERATION ZONE.

1. SLUDGE ZONE
Sludge zone has dissolved solids as suspended solids. The active bacteria are present and will digest the matter before passing through the filter.

2. FILTERATION ZONE
The filter zone has the media which provide a large surface area for the bacteria to house in thus these bacteria will digest the remaining left over matter and the water can then be discharged into the public drainage..
